Barcelona midfielder Paulinho was delighted to prove the matchwinner in victory at Getafe.

The goal was a perfect example of the running from deep manoeuvre, as Lionel Messi slid the ball into a pocket of space just outside Getafe's penalty area for the Brazilian to run onto.

"My best characteristic is to run from a deep position, like [Ivan] Rakitic," said Paulinho.

"Messi gave me a great pass and I was able to score the winning goal."

He added: "The circumstances of the match were difficult, we went out knowing we had to get three points and that is why we celebrated so much at the end."
