Barcelona midfielder Jonathan dos Santos is out for six months with a knee injury.
The 23-year-old Mexico international damaged the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during training on Wednesday and will undergo arthroscopic surgery on November 5, the club have announced.
According to a statement on the club website, Barca's medical services estimate Dos Santos, who has made three league appearances for the Spanish champions this season, will be absent for around six months.
