Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas will only return to England for Arsenal, it has been revealed.

The Daily Star Sunday says Fabregas will only play for Arsenal if he ever decides to quit Barcelona - who believe United's £40million bid for the midfielder is in response to their interest in Wayne Rooney.

Arsene Wenger only allowed him to return home for £30m in 2011 because of a promise he made - but a contract clause gives the Gunners first option if he ever decides to leave.
