Cesc Fabregas says Carles Puyol's announcement that he will be leaving Barcelona didn't come as a surprise.
Cesc admits Barca's players suspected their captain was planning to move on.
"We already knew you can see his feelings, the gestures he makes and what he's going through... It's a very difficult time for him and it hurts to see a friend make such an important decision."
Cesc continued: "Not everyone has the guts to make that decision with two years still left on their contract. If you see the way Puyol trains every, you would never think he is 36. He looks like a kid of 18. As far as I'm concerned, he will always be the eternal captain."
