Barcelona meet Udinese €40M Sanchez price - but with catch

Barcelona have agreed to meet Udinese's €40 million asking price for Alexis Sanchez - but with a catch. Sport says Barca are willing to cough up the readies to land the Chilean dazzler, but wants to pay €27 million up front, with the remaining €13 million due in bonuses.

The deal would allow Barca to pursue their other transfer targets - including Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas - as they work to a limited summer transfer budget.

Udinese are open to the deal - but want the €13 million guaranteed. Barca are insisting the cash only be paid if certain targets - like winning the Champions League - are met.

Chelsea and Manchester City, both with greater spending power than Barca, continue to maintain contact with Udinese about Sanchez's situation.
