Barcelona matchwinner Lionel Messi admits they can feel Real Madrid breathing down their neck.

Messi struck the decisive goal in Barca's 1-0 win at Getafe last night, which maintains their six point lead on Real after they also managed to win at Recreativo.

The Barca star remarked: "It was important to win here and the match was very tough. There are very few games left to complete the league and we cannot lower our arms being so close now to the title.

"The important thing is that we won and we got the three points which is what we came for.

"We are very happy. Our minds are strong. We know that there are still games to play and we must continue until the end. Playing at the highest level."
