Barcelona legend Xavi will play on next year.

An additional year has been added to Xavi's Al-Sadd contract, which means he'll stay at the Qatari club until 2018, reports Marca.

The iconic Catalan midfielder arrived at his current club ahead of the 2015/16 season, so the new deal would make it his third campaign in the Middle East.

Xavi continues to balance his off-pitch obligations with playing, and is not ready to hang up his boots just yet.
