Barcelona legend Xavi has weighed into the problems engulfing the La Masia academy.

Xavi has questioned the coaching of the club's young players in recent weeks.

The former midfielder told the Tactical Room: "In general, Barça has fallen asleep, it was believed that Barca was going alone, we must strengthen the juniors and its model of play, the young player must soak up this way of playing so that when he reaches the first team he has all the concepts to do well.

"The coaches of the juniors have to train players, they have to teach, what else does the children's league have to do?!

"If you win, you do better, but it's not the goal."
