Barcelona legend Xavi is backing them to win the El Clasico.

With the Clasico being played at Real Madrid, the Spaniard believes there is no clear favourite and expects his old team to come away victorious.

"For me I hope Barcelona win, I am going to say 2-1," Xavi told the LaLiga website.

"I want [Barcelona] obviously, but it will be a very tough game, both sides are very strong."

Real currently sit three points above their rivals, with a game in hand, so for many people this is a match that will confirm the title's destination.

"The LaLiga trophy is at stake, this match will decide it," he explained. "It will be spectacular to watch and the encounter will be played at a very fast pace.

"The players from my team know what to expect, it is a game shown all around the world and will be played with a lot of passion."
