Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov admits he'd take Pep Guardiola the player over the coach.

The Manchester City manager is regarded by many as the best coach in the world.

But Stoichkov says: "I'll take Pep the player, because he did not train me.

"I enjoyed his passes, his plays.

"I really enjoyed the responsibility as he had to take everything onto the field.

"I'm staying with Pep the player, because if I tell you as a coach, you'll know how two characters like ours would collide."
