Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes is reportedly open to the idea of joining Newcastle United as a replacement for the injured Tim Krul.
The former Barcelona shot-stopper has been made an outcast at Old Trafford, with reports suggesting he no longer has his own locker in the dressing shed.
The Mirror is reporting Valdes is understood to have come to terms with the fact he has no future at the Red Devils, but is eager to remain in the Premier League.
Krul suffered a season-ending knee injury while playing for the Netherlands against Kazakhstan in Euro 2016 qualifying.
Valdes is determined to play first team football again as soon as possible and it is understood United boss Louis van Gaal is happy to release the 33-year-old to any club that is not a direct rival.
