Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff has defended Lionel Messi over recent criticism of his form.
Messi was lambasted for his performance in Barca's Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid last week.
But Cruyff argued: "How can you say that (Messi) was disinterested (in the match against Atletico Madrid) if ten days ago only in the 'El Clasico' he was very interested and was the best on the field?
"Everything revolved around him, he scored three goals, ran, played great. He might be one or the other, not both.
"And against Atletico, supposedly so disinterested, he was the most dangerous player Barcelona had."
