Barcelona aren't giving up on landing Chelsea defender David Luiz in January. The Daily Express says Barcelona have watched Luiz closely and have seen the return to form of John Terry, and the faith Mourinho has placed in his former stalwart, as a sign that the Brazilian defender could well be available.
Barca's defensive difficulties were well-documented over the summer and Martino is on record as saying that he will reassess the situation in January.
Should Luiz be available he is just the sort of player that the Catalan club would be interested in as they look for the long-term replacement for Carles Puyol.
