Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes wants to move to Arsenal. The Daily Star Sunday says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is weighing up an £8.5million bid for the Spain keeper who is available this summer after turning down the offer of a contract extension with Barcelona.
Valdes is vastly experienced, having won five Spanish titles and the Champions League three times. And sources close to him claim he is eager for a new challenge in the Premier League next season - and that The Emirates is his first-choice destination.
Valdes has one year left on his current contract but has been told he can leave this summer after talks broke down about an extension.
