Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes was thrilled with his Spain debut against South Korea.

Valdes kept a cleansheet in the 45 minutes he was given for the 1-0 friendly win.

"It's a tremendous honour to make my debut with the national team. It is the dream of any Spanish player and today it has happened for me, so I'm very happy," the 28-year-old said.

"The team is lucky to have three safe goalkeepers and the competition is also good for ourselves, which makes us better."
