Barcelona keeper Valdes proud of new Champions League record

Barcelona No1 Victor Valdes has passed Oliver Kahn as the goalkeeper to make the second most Champions League appearances.

Last night's match with AC Milan was Valdes' 108th in the competition.

Only Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas, with 132, has played more Champions League games.

"Today I may be able to beat my idol, Oliver Kahn, for competitive Champions League matches. A proud achievement for me," Valdes posted on Twitter before kickoff.
