Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes hailed two-goal Lionel Messi after victory over Racing Santander.

Valdes says Barca players were pleased with the 3-0 win.

"Messi is the best player in the world and he always helps us to improve," Valdes said.

"We are playing really well and we are happy to have stopped Racing Santander from creating many chances."
