Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is in contact with Arsenal.

The Daily Mail says representatives of Barcelona goalkeeper Valdes have sounded out Arsenal to see if Arsene Wenger is keen on the Spain star.

The manager wants a new keeper and Valdes, 31, is said to be one of several being considered.

Queens Park Rangers' Julio Cesar, 33, has also been offered to the Gunners.
