Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is the most successful in Spanish history.

Last night's clean sheet in victory over Viktoria Plzen saw him break Miguel Reina's record for the 1972/73 season.

Valdes has played 877 minutes without conceding a goal.

"I'm happy because these are things that a make me very happy for the recognition, I have to dedicate this to my parents," he said.

"It is difficult to record, but this team deserves it, we have worked together to win games and finish with a clean sheet."
