Barcelona keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen inks new deal

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has signed a new deal with Barcelona.

The new deal ties the Germany international to the club until 2022 and includes a buy-out clause at 180 million euros (£156m).

The 25-year-old joined the club from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014 and has made 93 appearances for Barca and won nine trophies, including two LaLiga titles, three Copa del Reys and the 2014/15 Champions League.

A club statement read: "Barcelona has reached an agreement with the player Marc-Andre ter Stegen to extend and improve his contract until 30 June 2022.

"His buy-out clause now stands at 180 million euros. His new contract will be signed on Tuesday 30 May at 1.30pm CET at the club offices."
