Barcelona are joining the race for St Etienne striker Bafe Gomis.
Barca coach Pep Guardiola wants to add a centre-forward to his squad for next season and is turning to Gomis after receiving little encouragement from Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
Newcastle United offered £10 million for Gomis before Euro2008 kicked off.
