Barcelona have joined the battle for Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Barca coach Tata Martino has made it clear he feels his squad is a striker short and Sport says the Bulgarian has been raised during discussions with the board.

Berbatov's agent has declared he wants to leave next month, which has also led to talk of a move across London to Arsenal.

Cottagers boss Rene Meulensteen, while reluctant to lose the striker, has stated he won't block the veteran from leaving.
