Barcelona are launching a bid for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

Sport this morning carries the headline 'operation Coutinho in progress' saying the Catalan club are willing to break the bank to sign the Brazilian.

Barca have already spoken with the player's entourage and Coutinho is willing to leave Liverpool.

Barcelona, though, know it will be a costly signing and will have to sell one or two players to make way for the Brazilian, the report adds.

Liverpool saw Luis Suarez leave for Barcelona in the summer of 2014 in a £75million deal.

And Suarez was spotted talking to Coutinho along with his Barcelona team-mate Neymar at Uruguay's clash with Brazil this week.
