Barcelona are pushing Arsenal to make a decision over Andre Gomes this week.

Sport says Arsenal want Barcelona star Gomes to sign on the dotted line, with Unai Emery not put off by his nightmare Nou Camp spell.

The Portugal international has struggled for form and consistency during his two years at Barca and, as a result, a parting of the ways is now on the cards.

Arsenal have already had a busy summer, acting with speed and urgency to conclude deals for Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.

Barcelona want Gomes off the books as early as this week.

And they want Arsenal to take Gomes off their hands.

It is claimed the Gunners do not want to go as high as £18million for the player.
