Barcelona have opened talks with Valencia for young attacker Nacho Gil.

El Desmarque says Barca have approached Valencia to thrash out terms over a fee for Gil.

The attacker can play on both flanks and as an inside-forward. He will be 21 in September.

Gil is the brother of former Aston Villa midfielder Carlos Gil, now with Deportivo La Coruna.

Nacho is being lined up initially for Gerard Lopez's Barca B team.
