Spanish giants Barcelona are considering a move for Everton star John Stones, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo.

Stones has emerged as one of the finest young defenders in the Premier League and the Toffees young gun has understandably attracted the interest from a host of clubs around Europe and the UK in recent times.

Premier League champions Chelsea have publicly been courting Stones and now according to reports from Spain, even Barcelona are considering a swoop for the 21-year old.

However, Stones is not the first choice defensive target for Barcelona as they are hopeful of landing Athletic Bilbao star Aymeric Laporte, Paris Saint-Germain's Marquinhos or Atletico Madrid's Jose Gimenez who all sit on a shortlist ahead of Stones.
