Recent reports suggest that Johan Cruyff will not be replacing Damien Comolli as sporting director at Liverpool.
Rumours were rife that the Ajax and Barcelona legend was set to step into the job vacated by Frenchman Comolli yesterday but MirrorFootball suggests that is no longer the case.
A deal between Reds owners Fenway Sports Group and Cruyff was believed to have been agreed earlier today but that notion has since been dismissed leaving the Dutchman to go about his roles as Catalonia national team manager and Ajax board member.
