Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen admits Real Madrid are worthy LaLiga champions.

Ter Stegen concedes Real were "too strong".

"We lost the league by three points against a very strong opponent," Ter Stegen said. "In the end, they deserved it.

"We will do our best to recover the title and be successful again next season."

On a personal level, the German is happy with what was a record-breaking campaign for him with regard to matches played.

"I played 46 games, a new record for me," he said.

"I have never done that before. I reached 45 in 2012/13 and winning the Copa del Rey was a success."
