Barcelona goalkeeper Ter Stegen happier without Bravo competition

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen admits he feels happier now Claudio Bravo has left for Manchester City.

The German is now Barca's outright No1.

“The manager is the one who decides who plays and I all I can do is give my all in training," said Ter Stegen.

“I always had a good relationship with my team-mate [Bravo]. Last year was difficult, because we both wanted to play. Now there's a new team-mate [Jasper Cillessen].

“[Leaving the club is] not something I'm not worried about now. All players in the team want to play and give 100 per cent on the pitch. The situation was difficult for us both and he's found a solution which is better. I'm here with Barça and I'm not thinking about other teams. There's nothing more.

“I don't want to think about [if playing a third year with Bravo was possible], it's in the past and I've left it to one side. It doesn't worry me now. I'm thinking about the games from now on. It was a difficult situation for all of us, because Jordi [Masip] wanted to play as well. My situation has improved, and that's what matters for me."
