Barcelona are launching a bid for Tottenham whizkid Reo Griffiths.

The Daily Star says the Spanish giants are aiming to give the Londoners a taste of their own medicine - with Spurs hoping to snatch 18-year-old Ricard 'Rique' Piug from the Nou Camp.

Barca can sign teenage goal sensation Griffiths when he turns 18 on June 27.

They would have to pay Spurs compensation, but nothing like the amount a rival Premier League outfit would be forced to fork out.

Academy hotshot Griffiths has been dubbed the next Harry Kane after some staggering goal-scoring exploits this season.

Born in Highgate, north London, Griffiths played for Leyton Orient before joining Spurs in July 2016.

This season he bagged 34 goals - 13 more than his nearest rival.
