Barcelona fullback Dani Alves has dismissed criticism of coach Tata Martino's playing style.
Alves was asked about the controversy ahead of tonight's Champions League clash with AC Milan.
"We will defend our style of play to the death because it's what made us the best team in the world," said Alves.
"Before we were monotonous, and it made things easier for our rivals, now we've introduced a variation which is giving us good results.
"The only thing that's different now is that we don't need 18 to 20 passes to reach our rivals' goal, we're more direct."
