Barcelona fullback Adriano has suffered a hamstring injury.

Adriano, who has started five of Barca's 11 Primera Division matches so far this season, sustained what the club described as a "small tear in the fibres of his left hamstring" during training ahead of Brazil's friendly against Egypt in Qatar on Monday.

The club said in a statement on their official website fcbarcelona.com: "After tests in the medical centre at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, Adriano Correia has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury.

"He is expected to be sidelined for between seven and 10 days, as announced by the club medical services."
