Barcelona falling well short of Lionel Messi's market demands...

Barcelona are falling short of Leo Messi's demands of a clearout this week.

With his contract still unsigned, Messi had demanded major squad changes before putting pen to paper. Included in his expectations were a clearout of at least four underperforming players.

Douglas was one - and he was offloaded to Benfica yesterday. However others, including Paco Alcácer, Rafinha, André Gomes and Arda Turan still remain at Barca.

Munir El Haddadi was expected to join Torino, but the Italian deadline fell with no deal struck. Instead, Toro took M'Baye Niang on-loan from AC Milan.

Paco Alcacer, meanwhile, could be offloaded today within the LaLiga.
