Manchester United defender John O'Shea is interesting Barcelona.

Sport says Barca sports director Txiki Begiristain has drawn up a shopping list for the summer market, which includes the usual candidates like Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich) and David Silva (Valencia).

Begiristain wants a new right-sided defender and sees O'Shea as an ideal candidate. The Irishman's deal with United expires in 2012.

Also in Barca's sights is Osasuna fullback Cesar Azpilicueta.
