Barcelona encouraged over Man Utd attitude to Vidic contract talks
Barcelona have been encouraged over the delays regarding new contract talks for Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic.
The Sun says Vidic has been told to forget about a new contract until 2011.
Vidic is a target for Barca and his representatives are looking for a new deal with United.
He will have two years left on his current £70,000-a-week contract at the end of this term.
But United chiefs have told the Serb defender there is no chance of a pay increase until he has a year remaining.
The Red Devils only regard Wayne Rooney as a special case when it comes to new deals.
