Arsenal are set to be offered Barcelona defender Martin Caceres.

The Uruguay international attracted an enquiry from Arsenal towards the end of last season thanks to his successful loan with Juventus.

A change of manager at Juve has seen their interest dry up, but Barca are keen to move Caceres on and will encourage Arsenal to make an offer now that Sandro Rosell has been named new president.

Rosell met with coach Pep Guardiola earlier this week and was urged to listen to offers for Dmytro Chyrgrynskiy, Alex Hleb, Caceras and other fringe members of the squad.
