Barcelona desperate to do Man City deal over Eto'o

Barcelona are eager to offload Samuel Eto'o to Manchester City as soon as possible.

Sport says an embarrassed Barca want an end to the Eto'o soap opera after his lawyer, Jose Maria Mesalles, scathing criticism during a press conference this week.

Barca have already dropped their original £25 million asking price and hope this will allow City to cover Eto'o's demands of a massive signing-on fee to make the move to England.

Eto'o is in constant contact with Mesalles while holidaying in the USA and has already accepted City's five-year contract offer worth £9 million-a-season.
