Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa has hit back at Barcelona defender Gerard Pique on Twitter. Pique mocked Real's defeat of Elche, which needed a penalty in the 96th minute to decide the result.

Pique tweeted: "Watching a great comedy on Canal + Liga.."

Arbeloa responded: "It's nice to see some people swapping the theatre for a bit of cinema."

The reference to Barcelona play-acting dates back to Jose Mourinho's jibe at Lionel Messi for "exaggerating" an Asier Del Horno foul.
