Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is ready for his showdown with Olympique Lyon star Karim Benzema in the Champions League this week.

Pique said: "He's a very complete striker. Powerful, fast, prolific, and always involved in the game."

Asked about the prospect of Benzema pulling on a Barca shirt next season, Pique added: "He has the ability to play for Barca, but I do not know if he will arrive because this decision is not up to me."
