Barcelona defender Gerard Pique fears they'll have to pay over the odds to replace Neymar.

As Barca hunt down Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele, Pique concedes the €222m paid by PSG for Neymar can work against the Catalans.

He said, "What do I think about buying Dembélé and Coutinho for more than €100m? They take advantage of the situation we are in and use their contracts.

"It's a difficult time to recruit, no doubt. How difficult it will be to replace Neymar? He's a unique player. Rather than replace him, we need to strengthen ourselves.

"Nobody can replace Neymar in the market."
