Barcelona defender Marlon Santos is joining Sassuolo.

Marlon is set to sign for Sassuolo on Friday.

"I'm very happy," Marlon told Sky Sport Italia.

“I spoke to (Mario) Balotelli and he said great things about Sassuolo, he really recommended them."

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Nice with Italy international Balotelli.

Sassuolo won a bidding war with Schalke 04 and he seemed to be won over by their plans.

“I had many offers on the table, but Sassuolo wanted me more than anyone."
