Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano concedes he may never score for the club.

Mascherano again missed out during the 5-0 thrashing of Las Palmas.

Mascherano, who is aware that his role is not to score goals, pointed out that he's in the team for different reasons to those who play ahead of him.

"Maybe you will never seem me score," he told reporters afterwards.
