Barcelona defender Gerard Pique avoided serious injury when his car was sideswiped by a bus on his way to the Nou Camp yesterday morning.

Pique was travelling to meet with the squad ahead of flying to Germany for their Champions League tie against Bayer Leverkusen.

His car was struck by a bus, leaving one of the front doors hanging from its hinges. Pique was forced to abandon the vehicle to make Barca's flight.
