Barcelona striker David Villa is upbeat over his recovery from knee surgery.

While reluctant to name a comeback date, Villa is happy with the way his rehab is progressing.

"I am very encouraged I'm now in the last stage, thank God, I've worked hard every day since it happened. Very happy, very excited, happy and eager.

"I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel, and eager to enjoy my football again," smiled Villa.
