Barcelona have signed a deal with SK Lubricants that will see the Korean company become the La Liga club's official lubricant partner, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
The regional agreement, which is due to last for the next three years and runs until the end of the 2020/21 season, covers South Korea, China, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam. It allows the Asian company to use the club's logo, as well as images of the players, in promotional material.
The SK Innovation-owned South Korean oil and lubricant product exporter, unveiled the partnership at a special event in Beijing, with former Barcelona midfielder Gaizka Mendieta in attendance.
SK Lubricants, Barcelona's first ever South Korean corporate sponsor, said in a statement: 'We plan to increase SK ZIC's brand recognition and global sales through the sponsorship.'
In a similar statement, the Spanish club added: 'We believe the agreement will create synergy effects for both sides' global marketing efforts. We also hope the deal paves the way for more remarkable Korean companies to become sponsors of FC Barcelona.'
