Barcelona have confirmed they will face Brazil's Chapecoense for their annual Joan Gamper friendly in August.

Chapecoense will travel to the Camp Nou for the Joan Gamper match on August 7.

The traditional Barcelona season opener will be used to honour the 71 who died and contribute to the charity cause for the victims' families and friends.

Confirmed on Wednesday, the friendly completes the Blaugrana's pre-season preparations following a tour of the United States, and is due to take place a few days before the Supercopa de Espana kicks off on either August 12 or 13.
