Barcelona are confident of signing Manchester City striker Denis Suarez this week.Sport says Barca chiefs expect Suarez to negotiate a release from the final year of his contract at City in the coming days.
The Spain U21 international would then sign for Barca B on a free transfer, though a clause in his deal will see him regularly train with Tata Martino's first team squad.
Suarez's departure raises doubts over how serious City are about their academy system.
Barca were beaten by City two years ago for Suarez, when they paid Celta Vigo €1 million for the then 16 year-old.
