Barcelona are drawing up a contract offer for Manchester City star Robinho. Sport says Barca are laying the foundations for a loan move for January, which will see them cover 50 per cent of his €6.2 million salary.
Barca management are confident they can now match the wages on offer from the likes of City, having recently secured Lionel Messi to a bumper new contract. To make the deal permanent, Barca have put aside €35 million to sign the Brazil international.
The final stumbling block is City owner Sheikh Mansour, who must be convinced that selling Robinho would be the right move for the club.
