Barcelona coach Vilanova insists 2-goal Villa must stay

Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova insists he's counting on striker David Villa.

Villa struck twice in last night's Copa win over Alaves, but has been linked with a move away this season.

"I think David has been fine, he has scored twice and has completed 90 minutes," said Vilanova. "Every day I see him better.

"We had to be careful with him because an injury can reappear. He has worked extensively with Emili Ricart in summer. It will help because he is a great goal scorer. Every day I see him doing better. We try to give him as many minutes as possible."
