Barcelona qualified from their Champions League group with victory at Spartak Moscow last night.
Lionel Messi scored twice to go to 80 goals so far in 2012, just five behind Gerd Muller's record number of goals scored in a calendar year from 1972.
Dani Alves gave Barcelona the lead before Messi's double strike as all the goals came before half-time.
Barca coach Tito Vilanova remarked: "It was important to qualify for the next round here and not have to wait until the last game, anything can happen in the last match of the group stage.
"The players proved once again how great they are. They've won a lot of titles over the years and they adapted well to tonight's circumstances: the cold and the artificial turf."
